Year 1 attended the Christmas Journey session at Emmanuel Church in Forest Gate. The children had been learning about the Christmas story in RE, so what better way to learn more than by listening to experts acting it out.
The children also had the opportunity to engage in some spirited play. All children listened attentively and were fascinated by the stained glass windows in the church.

The year 1 classes visited The Young V&A in Bethnal Green, London to coincide with learning about old and new toys in History. This experience was very hands on and the children enjoyed exploring a variety of toys.
They even had the opportunity to perform on stage. This experience reinforced their curriculum learning and it was wonderful to hear them describing the toys they saw and interacted with.
